Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Yoko Portraits
Got my Yoko art book today, i’m a sucker for any and all merchandise related to Gurren Lagann so this was a must have. I don’t have many art books, but the ones i do have, i love. This latest one is no exception, I adore the artwork inside, but I’m surprised at the amount of art that i haven’t seen online. There are some awesome yoko images that i bet many people haven’t seen, so i took pictures of pretty much the entire book for you all. Excuse me and my horrible lighting/picture taking ability.
We’ve all seen some of these images already, but if not here is a refresher…
I never knew this was official art, i always thought it was just some good looking fan art…
I adore this image, I want to find a scan of it and make a poster for myself. Cookies for anyone who can find a hi res scan of it online.
I thought this was fan art as well when i first saw it online, love the nurse motif.
I wonder why this isn’t online with the amount of people who love Bunny Girl Images. Or maybe i’m not looking hard enough…
Wish i knew some Japaneses, then i could know what they are saying here…

I never liked the last outfit for yoko, made her boobs look a bit saggy imo…

ooohhh figures… *drools* i want to own every one on the page, except for the Konami Yoko on MMS. I’m not a huge fan of Action figures…
There was this envelope attached to the back and since i can’t read Japaneses i just opened it to see what was inside.
This is what was inside, looks like actual pictures. I just left them in the envelope since i don’t want to damage them, still pretty darn awesome.
All in all I’m pretty impressed with this book, i was expecting it to be more of a character profile of yoko and seiyuu interviews. But it’s all images, which i like since there is no point in me getting a reading book since i can’t read kanji.

Was surprised as well to see there was some pictures not listed / scanned yet in well know image-board sites.
Well, that’s good in a way, so it is still plesant to discover new stuff once the book between your hands ^^

it’s not heavy at all, i got it through HLJ with sal shipping and he no problems and the book had no damage to it.

omg tim, stop what you are doing now and just go run and watch Gurren Lagann. it’s so amazing you have no idea what you are missing…

Neither have I seen the series. Trying to get DVD*cough*rips*cough*. Seen most of the artbook, almost all from 4Chan haha.
